Elsie and I just returned from a ministry trip to Kenya, Africa. We ministered in three different churches.

It was a very fruitful mission as God touched the hearts of the people. We were able to distribute bibles
to pastors and leaders. The study bibles in the hands of these pastors may be the only bible in the village
church.

We hosted one of our pastor friends from Kenya, Africa for a
month this summer. It was the first time Rev Peter Kamau visited the United
States. He visited other friends while here from different states and spoke in
a number of churches. We saw God move mightily in the services and give Him all
the glory. Rev. Kamau took a shipment of bibles along home for pastors needing
a bible.
Several other highlights were our ministry time at Bethel Camp
and Panco Community Church in Kentucky. We have ministered at Bethel Camp for a
week the last five summers. It has been such a blessing to see how God is
raising up a young generation with a heart to serve Jesus.
Panco Community Church has been reaching into their community
with the gospel for over 30 years. Most of those in attendance have come to
faith in Christ through Pastor Jerry Rice. It was a great time of teaming up
with them for a weekend revival.

I grew up in a Pastors home, the fourth of five children.  At the age of twelve I committed my life to Jesus Christ. I drifted away from my moorings as a follower of Jesus Christ during my latter teenage years and into early married life. Most people were unaware of my plight as I went to church regularly. When our second child was born I really sensed the need of serving Christ with all of my heart.  It was then that life started taking on new meaning. 

 

I started reading good books that inspired me to live a life pleasing to Jesus Christ.  Hearing my father preach, and reading the autobiographies of D.L. Moody, Charles Finney and Billy Sunday created in me a desire to preach God’s word.  Through daily bible reading, prayer and involvement in our church, my call to ministry was affirmed.

 

After serving as Pastor in two churches for twenty years we felt the time was right to launch, Philip Stutzman Souls4Him Ministries. That was in 2008.  God has been so faithful and we give Him all the glory.  I have a real heart to see the church revived and set aflame for Jesus Christ.  When God’s people are revived, evangelism will follow, and the church will fulfill the Great Commission. 

 

The Lord has opened doors for us to minister in churches, prisons, youth events, Pastors Conferences and various other outreaches in the United States and abroad.

 

Jesus said, “And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.” Matthew 16:18 NIV   I am grateful that Jesus Christ is building His Church and I am grateful to be able to be on His team.
